Darryl Lynn Hughley, also known as DL Hughley, is an American actor and stand-up comedian. He is best known for his work as the original host of BET's ComicView from 1992 to 1993, his eponymous character on the ABC/UPN sitcom The Hughleys, and as one of the "Big Four" comedians in The Original Kings of Comedy.Throughout his career, DL Hughley has hosted several TV shows, including his own talk show on Comedy Central called Weekends at the D.L., and he has guest-hosted shows such as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and The View. He has also acted in several TV shows, including Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Scrubs, and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

DL Hughley has written several books, including I Want You to Shut the F#ck Up: How the Audacity of Dopes Is Ruining America, Black Man, White House: An Oral History of the Obama Years, How Not to Get Shot: And Other Advice From White People, Surrender, White People: Our Unconditional Terms for Peace, and How to Survive America.In addition, he has been active in social and political issues, advocating for gun control, police reform, and racial justice. He has also hosted his own talk show, The D.L. Hughley Show, which premiered on TV One in 2019.
